Hal David
Harold Lane David (May 25, 1921 – September 1, 2012) was an American lyricist. He grew up in New York City. He was best known for his collaborations with composer Burt Bacharach and his association with Dionne Warwick.
The songs which Bacharach and David wrote which were covered by Sandie Shaw are:
- "Anyone Who Had a Heart", which was also covered by Cilla Black
- "(There's) Always Something There to Remind Me", which became Shaw's first UK No. 1 hit
- "Trains and Boats and Planes", which Shaw sang on an episode of The Sandie Shaw Supplement
