Paul Vance
Paul Vance (born Joseph Paul Florio[1] on November 4, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York, United States) is an American songwriter and record producer.
He, along with Lee Pockriss, wrote "I Don't Need Anything" for Verdelle Smith, a song which Sandie Shaw covered. Shaw's version was released in January 1967[2], 4 months after Smith's, which was released in September 1966[3]. American soul singer Maxine Brown covered this song before Shaw, with her version being released in November 1966[4], 2 months after Smith's.
