"Surround Yourself with Sorrow" is a song by English singer Cilla Black, written by Bill Martin and Phil Coulter and released on February 7th 1969.[1][2]

Sandie Shaw recorded the song before Black, but disliked her version and rejected it, saying, "It's in the wrong key - It's not mine. I shouldn't have done it - so I gave it back - and they gave it to Cilla."[3] Her version was eventually released on November 8th 2004[4] as the fourteenth track on the fourth disc of the Nothing Comes Easy boxed set.[3]
